Thank goodness Fall Break is over!

I’m sorry I’m running behind these days. I had the whole week off last week due to fall break and my sitter being sick. We have also been sick, all of us except David, so that is no fun! I will be playing catch-up this week. I have an album to revise, a few wedding to edit and upload, lots of sessions to proof and orders to deliver! Not to mention sessions to do, viewing appointments to prepare for, emails and phone calls to return. And oh yeah, I’m supposed to do filing, book-keeping, pay bills, make deposits, etc… The trouble with all of this is that it’s just me! When I’m sick or off work, there is no one else to do the work. I think I may need a personal assistant…one that is highly skilled and will work for little or no pay!! Know anyone?? Send them my way! Oh yeah, did I mention I’m pregnant??

Sneak Peek Frenzy

Ok, in an effort to streamline this process (and also not fill up your inbox with a bunch of posts!), I’m going to do one big sneak peek here.

First, a maternity session with a lovely family, so much fun…

Now a family of three girls, such different looks and such different personalities…

Next, our dear friends from Bloomington, their boys and their horses…

I have a few more sessions to add…so check back if you didn’t see your sneak peek…I have to run to a noon meeting.

I’m still here!

It has been brought to my attention that this blog has been badly neglected! I’m sorry. In addition to be very busy, I’ve also been a little under the weather. I promise to make it up to you all, my loyal fans and devoted readers!

First, I have lots of sneak peeks coming up, so stayed tuned for previews of some beautiful fall sessions. Second, if you are waiting on an order, it should be here by the end of the week. My lab placed a huge order on hold, because of a problem with one image (a cropping issue with a wallet!). Third, I am having some issues with my calendar syncing to my phone. If you have a session booked with me between now and the end of Novemeber, will you please send me an email to confirm or just post a comment here. Thanks!

And last, but not least, a contest! Let’s give away some more christmas cards. The first 5 people to email me a photograph of your family or your children in front of the christmas tree will win 24 custom holiday cards. Cards can only be used with images from your 2008 session with Brandy Cunningham Photography.

And the winner is…

First, I’d like to thank everyone for sharing their funny stories with us. I really got a kick out of them all! However, there’s one that stood out, at least to me! As a big boobie girl myself, I really appreciated Jennifer’s story about her daughter telling her she hoped she didn’t get boobs as big as hers! So Jennifer is the proud winner of 24 custom holiday cards. Jennifer - email me to claim your prize!

And, since no post is complete without photographs, here are a few from a recent wedding.

Happy Friday!

Hey, just wanted to say hello and wish everyone a happy weekend! I also felt like giving something away! And since the holiday season is quickly approaching and I just purchased my new card templates, I’m going to make this a christmas card gift. I’m giving away 24 custom holiday cards to the person who posts the silliest thing their kid has said lately. So, post away and I’ll decide which one wins! I’ll post the card templates when I get a chance, just know that they are awesome!!

Look who’s almost walking!

This little guy was so close to walking at his one year session! In fact, I’d be willing to be he is by now? As you can see, he was standing, but, would not take any steps for the camera.

Every moms dream…

We can all relate to the desire to have a family photograph…one where everyone is looking at the camera and smiling. Well, this is next to impossible when it comes to toddlers in the family. I had a blast with this family, watching this little guy run around (he literally did not sit still the entire session!). I will post the “real” sneak peek later, but, I just had to show this series of images. Can’t you just hear him saying this??

Something you don’t see very often

As a photographer, I am definitely more comfortable on the other side of the camera. However, I am taking part in a challenge on one of my photography forums, to get in front of the camera more often. I was outside taking pictures of the kids playing the other night and handed the camera to David. I am always the one taking the pictures and am therefor, in very few of them. I don’t want my kids to grow up and not have any pictures of me when I’m gone. I know that’s a little morbid, but, we sometimes have to think about these things. So, here’s one that David snapped of me while I was enjoying the beautiful weather, a nice sunset and the sound of my kids playing in the background.

I couldn’t decide which version I liked best, so, here’s all three!

Charlie

Here he is….well, sort of! It is technically his first session with me (but, definitely not his last). I will be spending lots of time with this family from now on. They just moved here from Florida where they had a long standing relationship with a photographer there. They have beautiful photographs of their family! I can’t wait to add to their collection with all the sessions we will be doing over the next year.
